Fucking steam update

I booted up steam this morning and recieved the updating steam box. When that had finished, nothing more happened, steam wouldn't open, nor would any games start up. Simply nothing would happen. If i clicked on the steam icon again it would say one instance is already running.
Went into processess and ended the steam.exe and tried everything again. Same thing would happen. Nothing. Steam just refuses to start up. Whats the problem?

that happens to me after updates to the platform. I cant remember wat i do to fix it, sumthing with restarting it agen and agen

happens to me aswell, just turn it off, restart then leave it for ages it'll start up eventually

Hmmmm ok im not sure how long iv got to wait for. Nothing seems to have happened for most of the day

Is your internet capped? yourve done the alt+ctrl+delete end steam exe process right and then connect to steam again and its just the same?

Yep done that alllll day. But heres the funny part, i left it running for 3 hours, just waiting for it to log in, so i write that post saying nothings happening, and as soon as i click submit steam runs.
Case, closed!
