dod demos :P

ok ppl, when ur carvin it up out there dont forget to record a demo or two and we can put them together into an 5D|v| dod movie. ive been recording a few of my own but havent had time to go through them yet.

to make a demo ( in case u dont know) type record "demo name" in console.

i usually go like this so i can have them all cataloged later map date instance:

ie av12806_1 for avalanche 12/8/06 and 1 for first vid : P

there is a client demo comand that will crash the server .... nighty did it by acident the other day i think ....

how big is the frame rate hit when recording a demo? caus fraps is prity nasty.

i personally dont notice, but my frame rate is about an average of 20-45 closer to 30. seems ok

kk caus i average 50 - 60 but fraps will drop it to about 25-30

man if i had a framec rate like that i could bust out my old attack sniper ways from dod 1.3!!
i miss a stable 60 fps!!! arrggghhh!!

im on a 20 fps average and i can still sniper....gotta be in the Zone tho

what kinda mouse settings do u use when u snipe X? like quite high and only movements of the wrist or low? i used to play dod 1.3 relitively high, but just cant do the same on dod:s

umm my sensetivitys always at like 2.6, for every weapon other then that its just how fast my reactions are on the day. i dont like sniper coz its 2 laggy when i scope in, it pretty much becomes a slideshow and i just guess where its gonna go

i normally use the same as normal but i use very small mouse movements and it takes me like half a round to get the movement of the mouse right.

I have about a sensitivity of 18 or 19. Helps with packet loss

i use 11 or 10 ... but i have a button on the mouse to hardware overclock the mouse to 1600 dpi instead of its standard 800.... makes the mg move REAL FUCKING FAST! .. and one click and its back to normal..

thats pretty sweet i never was a fan of a fast moving mouse i go around 3-5.
