I know you younger guys might not be into this as you all seem to be into the new metal/rock but I dont know if you have heard of Dreamtheater. The best Prog Rock band around, a different sound awsome vocals and some of the songs go over 15 mins.
If you want to check them out one of the best two albums is Awake (its got some real hard out songs with lots of double bassing) and their second album once in a lifetime. Dont even think about the fisrt one as they had this dork of a lead singer.
Or something a little old skool but still good Rob Zombies brother had a band called Powerman 5000 very similar style to Rob but still rocking.

It's interesting how tigger likes coldplay and yet mudvayne, SOAD etc. Almost got the same taste as i do.

Stemm is an awesome band but they're US and are self owned so you don't hear much about them anywhere else but america. They do the music for UFC.

Powerman 5000 was good but they gone like indy recently.

im into ckicky bleepy stuff and funk soul etc.
